Meet Dr Hashmat Popat

Specialist Orthodontist

'Hash' gained his Bachelor of Dental Science from Bristol University, United Kingdom, in 2000. After graduating, he travelled to Australia to work at Sydney Dental Hospital and then for Queensland Health before moving back to the UK to complete his specialist orthodontic training at Cardiff University in 2008.

Hash continued to work for Cardiff University while completing a PhD. During this time he also took on a senior academic role on the Specialty Training Programme at the School of Dentistry, which prepares postgraduate dentists to become specialist orthodontists.

He has published over 30 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and conducted research projects in all aspects of orthodontics, including Invisalign® treatment.

Hash has a wide range of clinical experience and can offer treatment to both children and adults using traditional metal braces, ceramic (white) braces or Invisalign® clear aligners.

Hash has established a superb professional reputation in the region since his move to Geelong from a large private practice in Melbourne CBD. He has excellent working relationships with local referring dentists and other specialist practitioners. He looks forward to meeting you and your family!

Jacinta

Oral Health Therapist

Jacinta is a dedicated Oral Health Therapist who is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. With a strong focus on patient care and education, Jacinta provides a variety of preventive treatments to ensure long-lasting oral health. Her calm and empathetic nature makes her a trusted professional, and she is committed to making every patient feel comfortable throughout their visit.

Outside of the clinic, Jacinta is an avid traveler who loves exploring new places and experiencing diverse cultures. She also has a love for food, always seeking out new culinary experiences. At home, Jacinta enjoys spending time with her two cherished Golden Retrievers, who keep her active and entertained.

Alyssa

Oral Health Therapist

Alyssa is an experienced Oral Health Therapist who is committed to supporting each patient throughout their smile-transformation journey. She strives to provide a calm and reassuring (clinical) environment, ensuring patients feel comfortable and confident at every stage of treatment.

Alyssa is committed to providing high-quality care that supports both immediate treatment outcomes and long-term oral health.

Outside of work, Alyssa loves spending time with her husband and two little children. When she’s not chasing little feet around the house or the playground you’ll find her making a mess in the garden or dreaming about her next holiday.

Lucie

Practice Manager

Lucie is the Practice Manager at Warrnambool Orthodontic Hub, bringing over 20 years of experience in the orthodontic field. Her diverse skill set allows her to step into multiple roles, including dental assisting, treatment coordination, and front desk support—so you'll likely see her at all points of your Ortho Hub journey.

Lucie is passionate about helping patients and their families understand the orthodontic process. She finds it incredibly rewarding to see confidence grow as treatment progresses and loves being part of each patient’s transformation—both in function and self-esteem.

Outside the clinic, Lucie enjoys quality time with her husband and two children. She has a keen eye for interior styling, loves shopping, and is always up for discovering new places to eat.

Michelle

RECEPTIONIST

Michelle brings a wealth of experience to her role at Warrnambool Orthodontic Hub, with many years working both as a receptionist and dental assistant. Her warm, approachable nature and strong organisational skills help create a smooth and supportive experience for every patient who walks through our doors.

As the first point of contact, Michelle is here to assist with appointment scheduling and all aspects of patient communication. She takes pride in helping patients feel welcomed and well looked after from start to finish.

Outside of work, Michelle enjoys spending quality time with her family, embracing her role as a proud mum. She also finds joy in gardening and soaking up the simple pleasures of home life.

Stephanie

Receptionist and coordinator

As our Reception and New Patient Coordinator, Stephanie takes great pride in making sure every patient feels welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. Whether she’s answering questions, scheduling appointments, or managing patient records, she creates a warm and inviting environment that sets the tone for a positive experience.

Stephanie has a strong foundation in dental assisting, which has deepened her understanding of patient care and the importance of a supportive clinical environment. She is passionate about building personal connections with patients — helping ease any nerves and ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for at every step.

Outside of work, Steph cherishes time with her husband and two children. She enjoys exploring the beautiful coastline of Warrnambool, staying active at the gym, and spending peaceful moments horseback riding — a lifelong passion.

Georgia

Dental Assistant

Georgia is a committed Dental Assistant at Warrnambool Orthodontic Hub, currently completing her Certificate III in Dental Assisting. Since joining the team, she has been a valuable part of the clinical space — assisting chairside during procedures and helping to ensure patients feel at ease throughout their orthodontic journey.

Eager to learn and grow in the field, Georgia is passionate about developing her skills and knowledge in orthodontics. She finds it incredibly rewarding to be part of each patient's transformation and enjoys contributing to the supportive, team-focused environment at the clinic.

When she’s not at work, Georgia loves spending time with friends, heading out camping, and exploring the outdoors. She’s also a regular at the speedway, cheering on her family with pride.

Katherine

Dental Assistant

With over 12 years of experience in the dental field, Katherine brings a strong foundation in both dental assisting and radiography to her role. She plays an essential part in supporting orthodontic treatments, assisting clinicians chairside and helping patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their visit.

Holding a Certificate IV in Dental Assisting with radiography, Katherine combines technical expertise with a warm, patient-focused approach. Her calm and friendly nature, along with her dedication to quality care, makes her a reassuring and trusted presence in the clinic.

Outside of work, Katherine enjoys family time, travelling, and soaking up live music. She’s also a proud pet mum to two mischievous Dachshunds — and is well known among the team for her ever-growing collection of dad jokes.

Emi

Dental Assistant

Emi is one of our dedicated Orthodontic Assistants, known for her warm approach and genuine passion for patient care. She loves making each visit feel comfortable and positive, and brings a calm, supportive energy to every appointment. With a growing skill set in orthodontics and a keen eye for detail, Emi is committed to helping patients feel confident throughout their treatment journey.

Outside the clinic, Emi is a talented aerial, pole, and Pilates instructor. Alongside these, in her spare time, she also enjoys drawing, running/walking and the gym. Her background in movement and body awareness gives her a unique perspective on posture, alignment, and overall wellbeing—something she brings into her role each day.

Whether she’s supporting patients in the chair or her students in the studio, Emi’s focus is always on helping people feel their best.

Jess

Dental Assistant

Jess is a highly experienced dental assistant with over 17 years in the industry, including the past five years dedicated exclusively to orthodontics. After discovering her passion for the field, she made the switch from general dentistry and hasn’t looked back. Her deep knowledge and steady hand make her an invaluable part of our clinical team, especially when it comes to creating custom fixed bonded retainers.

You’ll often find Jess assisting chairside, supporting patients throughout their treatment journey. For her, the most rewarding part of the job is witnessing the transformation in a patient’s smile — and the boost of confidence that comes with it.

Outside of work, Jess loves spending time with her family and friends, especially adventuring outdoors. She enjoys beach walks and swims, Pilates sessions, and relaxing with good music.

Kennedy

Treatment Coordinator

With a warm and supportive approach, Kennedy plays a key role in guiding patients through their orthodontic journey as a Treatment Coordinator at Warrnambool Orthodontic Hub. From the first consultation to treatment planning and everything in between, she ensures patients feel informed, confident, and comfortable every step of the way.

Known for her friendly nature and attention to detail, Kennedy enjoys helping patients understand their treatment options and loves seeing their confidence grow as they begin their smile transformation. She values being part of a collaborative, patient-focused team and takes pride in creating a positive, reassuring experience for every individual who visits the clinic.

Outside of work, Kennedy enjoys spending quality time with her partner and their dog, often exploring new beach spots together. She also loves catching up with friends and family and can never resist a Sunday visit to the local farmers markets, hunting for a good coffee and beautiful pastries.
